Yes, the pandemic is over, but it likely will never go away. Once enough of the population gets NATURAL IMMUNITY nobody will or should care about it more than they do the common cold.

I thought BIPOCs are at greater risk of getting covid19 and being unmasked around supposedly at-risk people is white supremacy.

Looks like a last ditch ploy to scare people into voting.

How can you mourn something that abortionists insist isn't a living being?

Well, no, because when the pilot was done people were positing about how they could now afford to travel and not work so they could follow their unprofitable passions and hobbies.

These jobs are so vital that people like you want UBI so you can sit at home and collect free money rather than do this kind of work, which instead will be done third-world immigrants.

Has the DC police chief tweeted how "tired" residents are of the protests?

I'm not saying there aren't neo-Nazi's in Ukraine, but trying to make it out like they have a significant role in society and politics, that the PM, who is Jewish, has their full approval and backing, and that Russia for some reason is justified in waging a war of ethnic cleansing in a foreign country because of a very small extremist element is indeed nonsense. Russia itself has had a serious neo-nazi problem and is even employing them to fight this war. You come across as a Russian troll or at least a sadly misinformed pro-Russian leftist.

This is complete nonsense. Right-wing extremism is just as marginal in Ukraine as it is in other western democracies and is only being used as a justification for a war so that Putin can engage in ethnic cleansing to secure land strengthen his control of the Black Sea and oil and gas resources. It really doesn't look good that "conservatives" are expressing support for an obvious autocratic tyrant who wants to reconquer liberal democracies in order to reestablish a failed socialist empire.

Ryerson was progressive for his time and had no direct participation in the residential school system. Nor was he pro-slavery. In fact, if you look at his writings he tended to be apolitical and held views on politicians and the media that many of us would still agree with. He laid the foundation for an educational system that would allow every child in Canada the fundamental right to receive an education and wallow in ignorance and live a life governed by archaic superstitions. We should be celebrating his legacy rather than erasing his name from history.

Wernick doesn't seem to be a common name so if he's from the Ottawa area what are the chances he's related in some way Michael or Rachel Wernick?

The hesitant are not conspiracy theorists. They aren’t angry at the world. They don’t think COVID-19 is a hoax. They aren’t radicals of the left or the right — 61 percent of them say they are on the centre of the spectrum. Two thirds have post-secondary education. They might be timid, but they’re not stupid.

Almost half of them (46 percent) live in Ontario and well over half of them (59 percent) are women. A quarter were born outside Canada. Their average age is 42 and the plurality are between 30 and 44 years old. If they were voting in a federal election today, 35 percent would vote Liberal, 25 percent Conservative, 17 percent NDP, 9 percent Green — pretty similar to overall voting intentions for the entire population.

They did this here as well. I thought it was just because of covid, but it would not surprise me in the least if this was the real reason behind this change in policy. Still, if you have a certain number of overdue items, you can't borrow any others until some are returned.

Not sure what your point is. Ukraine is trying to become a modern democratic country where its citizens have individual rights and freedoms just like we do (or should). Putin is a relic of the Soviet Union who wants return his country to the authoritarianism of that era, and to have all of the surrounding countries run by puppets. Ukraine has the right to defend itself, suggesting we should stand by and let Russia engage in territorial conquest, ethnic cleansing, and genocide in order to prevent a supposed WWIII is ridiculous.
