Density is an average across landmass, I understand Toronto/GTA is the main population hub. But these number are correct. Honestly regardless of that fact, Canadians should be allowed to make a risk assessments for themselves. Obviously you can think critically. So you should with covid risk. The role of the government should give guidelines and science to the people and let them make choices needed to protect their family. Bolster hospitals/ICU's, focus on protecting the vulnerable to the extent in which they wish to be protected and open up Canada. I think when we see other countries or states reopen fully we can have a better comparison than Sweden and Canada. Even so, Sweden has Stockholm and surrounding area which houses over 2 million. So I don't think it's a completely unfair comparison.

How many cops? lol do church service just outside the fence as a fuck you. I know it's not a good idea but it would send a message.

Do whatever you can to prevent it. Make a stink EVERYWHERE. Think outside the box. Talk with locals about resources if it comes down to barter/black market.

I know Canada's death rate will be higher partly because we are killing the most elderly! We have the worst long term care numbers out of all the richest countries. Since covid kills mainly those over 65, that's another factor in this chart I originally posted. https://www.cihi.ca/sites/default/files/document/impact-covid-19-long-term-care-canada-first-6-months-report-en.pdf I'm all for protecting the vulnerable to the extent they wish to be protected. Our health care systems sucks on a good day, with ICU's running at 90% at times without covid. https://secure.cihi.ca/free_products/ICU_Report_EN.pdf ( and more stats) http://www.hqontario.ca/Portals/0/Documents/pr/measuring-up-2018-en.pdf Government is fucking us left right and centre. Instead of lockdowns and CERB government should be bolstering hospitals and let things play out with reopening fully.

yup but their population density is 22.71 people per square Km and Canada is 3.81 per sq. km. So they have a lower population AND a smaller landmass. So being packed in tighter together means they are doing much better than us without killing their economy and suffering the other unintended outcomes of covid mandates.

Good for them! I'll write a letter of support since I can't get down there physically. Maybe they have gift cards...

Man, even writing on tape and sticking it on places. I'd like some nice stickers/templates. I'm doing what I can.

God I wish you were right about how noone is fooled about the third lockdown. Just had our Easter plans with the in-laws cancelled because we won't wear masks all weekend in their house. And yeah, UBi is coming, and Digital ID for Ontario is rolling out this year. It's an easy side step for those vaccine passports and from CERB to permanent government teat.

cryptopede 1 point ago +1 / -0

Or just discounts to those who are aren't vaccinated, just distinguishing those people would be difficult. I'm sure the government will make that distinction easier soon enough . :/

I agree with this. It should work this way. I sadly see a future where medical info is required to purchase, and I understand wanting to get ahead of the government mandates. If enough private businesses did exactly that ( coordinated ) and put up waivers/signs ( not saying it's the right thing to do necessarily), I could see a larger outcry happening only because daddy government wasn't the one to suggest it. Could be another way to redirect the anger and show the hypocrisy of conforming to current and future mandates that ask the same thing.

I don't know enough about your situation to give a complete answer. I can suggest a large sign about insurance and/or risk waivers for those who are vaccinated. Just like that Gym that won't let vaccinated people train b/c unknown effects and lack of coverage. If anything, a sign will get attention and potentially start conversations ( before it's too late). It may also inform those who have their heads in the sand. Most people think this is an FDA approved thing, have no idea that we are in trials, and don't realize we have no recourse legally with the manufacturers if you get injured. It could be a 'must read before entering'/educating the public instead of limiting your customer base and profits. You could potentially have a follow up with your customers at ring out? OR instead of refusing customers, place restrictions on them just like gov. has done with masks and sidewalk delivery. You can shop here but vaccinated patrons must , A, b, and c. I'm sure you can think of something creative. This is a fight that will take a multiple pronged attack to win, and I'm typing off the cuff.

Honestly I won't rule it out completely. From what I've seen of her she is pretty open about how insufferable and ignorant she was in the past. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt. If we can't accept that people change and grow, we set everyone up to fail. How many people have been cancelled because of something stupid they posted on social media 10+ year prior? Are they irredeemable? Some maybe, but others no. We can't just assume that since someone was bad in the past that they can't see the light. So many people on these .win sites are ALL about changing perspectives through conversation, which is why silencing is so dangerous. What's the point of conversation if you think that people have zero chance of change? That's my perspective on this whole Candace thing. I also understand knowing where a person was in the past and being skeptical about them is wise in some cases ( especially when money is involved.). But I personally don't get that feeling from her. I'd also argue that being in the camp of the political "right" can cause more damage than good. It would be a quite the risk to switch, especially when you break away from the dogmatic woke. I've personally been more left leaning in the past, as my younger self, and I've grown tremendously in the last 5-10 years. So much so that, if I asked my younger self to believe where I am now, I wouldn't be able to.

Obviously she was very lost.

Is there proof that she's controlled opposition? If not, you are acting just like the "left". I guess she's not allowed to learn, grow and change her mind about how wrong she was in the past. Do you want to change people's perspectives, to just turn around and not believe them when they honestly change? My guess is she caught shit for her website idea( and so she should, just like the lincon project) and just maybe that snapped her back to reality. If there's actual proof she doesn't believe what she says now, I would like to see it. Just like Owens, I may change my world view when confronted with new information.

Here is a ton of info on Covid in general, lockdowns, masks, long term effects. These are a collection of MULTIMEDIA links. So the first source they used for masks was not a peer reviewed article, they didn't state that all of their sources were, but that there are many sources which are peer reviewed... I have a few more that aren't included on this page that relate to masks specifically. Will CDC sources help you? Got a couple below for your convenience.

People who caught Covid report they always or almost always wear masks https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6936a5.html

How much masks filter depending on the type of mask https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/fullarticle/2769441?resultClick=1

CDC masks not statistically significant in preventing Covid https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7008a4.htm?s_cid=mm7008a4_w

And for those to lazy/angry to click an arrow, these were the mask sources on nomorelockdowns.ca:
