Doug Ford certainly lost my vote. He ran on respect for taxpayers, but is now the biggest spender in Ontario history, is happy with restricting our freedoms, and he derides the people who put him in office as "yahoos." With that said, I have no idea what parties are better choices. Certainly not Liberal, NDP or Green. Last election the only other choices were Communist (the same as the other left-wing parties) or Libertarian (and I must admit I don't know enough about that party to make an informed choice.)
I will not vote for PC as long as Doug Ford is the leader of the party. I cannot vote for anything that he’s a part of. I voted for him in the last election. I liked him. I hate him now. I’ll vote PC again when they have a new leader.
It doesnt matter who you vote for. They all answer to the same masters. The entire joke of the system we use is predicated on you believing they are the only choices and if one does bad, you get to use your "democracy" to vote them out and pick the other one and pat yourself on the back for voting the bad guys out this time.
We can't educate people who don't speak English (or French, I suppose). With the immigration faucet turned up to 11, there's nothing the average Canadian can do.
Things are too corrupt with foreign lobbyists dumping boat loads of money into our political system. The ‘Canadian swamp’ needs to be drained. If Trump can pull it off in the US we’ll see corruption take a major hit worldwide and give Canada some hope and a road map on how to clean our country.
Maxime Bernier’s People Party of Canada is giving us a glimpse of what a leader outside the ‘swamp’ can do. The Liberals control almost ALL of Canadian media so its near impossible for the PPC to be hear by the masses.
Canada’s existing political system with Lib-cons, NDP & Greens ALL pander to foreign lobbyists money. I voted PPC last election. Conservatives have lost my vote forever.
They lost my vote years ago. They are on the way to quintuple the provincial debt since they were elected 13 years ago. And the NDP gave them a budget surplus to deal with. Now the Saskparty is setting record deficits year after year.
The Covid stuff like mandatory masks, closing schools and lockdowns are just the cherry on top.
Well, they're doing a terrible job but for them to lose my support, there would have to be a better alterative for me to move my support to. I'm in Ontario and as much as I hate what Ford has done, I don't believe Kathleen Wynne or Andrea Horwath would have done better. Actually I'm pretty sure they'd have done much worse.
People object to the "lesser of two (or three) evils" approach to choosing a party to support, but that's reality. Do you want shitty, really shitty or really really shitty?
That's not to say the shitty guy doesn't deserve criticism for doing a shitty job. Of course he does. But it's not a reason to choose to replace him with someone even worse and end up getting an even worse outcome. That's dumb.
Another NDP govornment might be inevitable though. The media are master manipulators, the “Kenny man bad” message has been spread far and wide. The spending cuts that have to come will be portrayed as heartless and cold blooded, even though the alternative is crushing debt and bankruptcy.
You’re absolutely bang on with the public vs private sector divide. The public sector has the media on their side. We’re fucked unless we can take back the message.
Those I know in the Public Sector that are Conservative have been warned to remain silent or risk being targeted and fired and their Unions will not defend them as they are totally corrupt as well.
There is no subverting them. Leaked information is all they can offer.

Jim and Belinda Karahalios started a new party called the New Blue party. Randy Hillier may join it too.

Except Trudeau, who gets to fuck up multiple times and still gets voted in.

Saskatchewan is the last somewhat-sensible place in Canada.
Wexit or die until we can form our own mars colony.
For imported workers to do the shit tier jobs in Fort Mac while Canadians make fat stacks in the mines. The imported underclass exists everywhere.
