That's been true since the beginning of this whole fiasco last year. If you had any reading comprehension skills, you'd realize that nowhere am I saying that what's going on is fine; I'm saying that this is not hard lockdown. Hard lockdown is isolation enforced by police. No social gatherings AT ALL. You can leave your house for groceries once a week ONLY. Etc etc. Seriously, if this is the level that the people on this site operate, no wonder it's turning into a drooling hivemind of "muh freedumb." I assume most of you people are younger than I am which means you haven't been through any major upheaval in your cushy diaper-bottomed lives, so you don't know what the hell it means to have the freedoms that you have, and you have no perspective.
This ain't hard lockdown. There's no curfew. No police patrolling the streets asking you what your business is. Bars and restaurants are shut down, yes, so I suppose to the alcoholic idiots that make up the bulk of this province it feels like a hard lockdown.
They want to ban menthol cigs to deter young people from taking up smoking because of the flavortown factor. Young people take up smoking because their lives are fucking stressful. This is like banning the option to add whipped cream and a cherry to the top of your DQ shake, for health reasons.
And how do we know that this sort of thing isn't a regular occurrence there? Also, this is not mass cremation. Mass cremation is when you build layers of wood and bodies in one structure and burn that. It's more economical. Which is what they probably would be doing with a sudden upsurge of dead bodies. Also is the Ganges full or what?
The lack of adjectives sums up how bland all of Canada is. Yup, it's a place to retire.
