I already have family pressuring me to take it because there was a rumor that they were going to open it up to 18+ in my postal code because it's a "hot spot". But no they opened my postal code up to just 50+.
Even in the past month with "muh variants" and geriatrics getting vaccinated, the 50+ population makes up 95.5% of the COVID-19 deaths in Ontario (573 deaths/600 in the past 30 days). So if the vaccine is available to people 50+ in hot spots like mine, the COVID hospitalizations and deaths should be coming down soon. And they should roll back the restrictions. Why force young people to take the vaccine to get our freedoms back when the vast majority of the deaths and hospitalizations are old people?
Btw in the past month 70%+ of the COVID-19 deaths are 70+ in Ontario. Even though old people have the benefit of vaccines. And yet we are told that 30 year old essential workers are high-risk and need to be vaccinated. Give me a break.
My dad is upset with me that I'm not going to take the vaccine once it gets offered to my age group in my postal code. Why the fuck do I need it for? My dad got the jab 22 days ago. He should be immune or at least have protection versus the virus. Our society is mentally ill. The case fatality rate in my age group is <0.02%. The case-hospitalization rate is 1.05% (the vast majority of which are acute care admissions, not ICU). And I'm not obese or immuno-compromised. There are more landwhales in my age group as a percentage than there are people in my age group who end up in acute care with COVID as a percentage. Let that sink in.

When I pointed out to my dad that COVID deaths per day were highest in April 2020 and higher during the "second wave" (January 2021) than now, he was shocked. Because when you listen to CP24 all day, you start to think that the variants are literally the Spanish Flu.

When Ontario announced the stay at home order on April 7th, Ontario's cases per day 7-day average was 3934.57. But on April 7th we didn't know this yet because of the case data lag. And now on April 26th the data shows that cases peaked at 4324/day April 5-11th. They literally pulled out right before they were gonna climax just like I do with thots I meet off dating apps.
The science table is smart. They knew the cases were going to go down soon due to seasonality. So they locked down right before the peak intentionally.
