More proof, as if any more was needed, that Canada is a failed country.

The bankers I used to work with would cut off their legs before quitting.

Carney and the Liberals must have written this. ‘Rock star’ central banker? Who apart from the few that pay attention to interest rates and currencies would even know who he is?

It may very well influence what happens in canada.

Israel seems to be taking the position that vaccines are insufficient protection against this variant. It will always be something. This will continue for a long time. How long until Canada takes a similar position? Listen to the public health “authorities” - it’s all about the Delta variant and not letting our guard down. Things will not be back to normal for a long time.

For sure. No doubt higher bonuses will go to those showing up everyday. And no banker would willingly work for a potentially lower bonus.

Yet another ‘conspiracy’ theory proven to have been right.

I was about to say this also. Or you can be in Tunisia, Morocco or Syria in some parts of Montreal. They Quebeckers think as long as immigrants speak some type of french their Quebecois culture is being preserved. Who do they think they are kidding?

Are South Asians and Arabs included in the statistics you mention? Curious because in my experience there is a very different attitude between these two groups and East Asians.

Well if one reads Reddit it would appear no Canadians want the border opened. Wankers.

It is now referred to as the “Delta variant which originated in India.” This new phrase is supposed to eliminate any stigma associated with naming a variant after a particular place. I sure am glad global health authorities are so concerned and creative in their approach.

Perhaps include some Islamic teachings on the subject in small print below the main statement.

"Like many others, I experienced discrimination as a fact of daily life. As a child and youth, I was taunted and harassed because of my name, religion or the colour of my skin."

At least he said ‘like many others.’

When I was growing up almost everyone was taunted : kids of Italian, Spanish, Greek, Lebanese etc descent. Big deal. Everyone sucked it up and grew up fine.

Is this correct? If the 2011 entry is right then the 1993 entry is wrong.

CBC is unbearable. It’s been unbearable for decades. Yet taxpayers keep funding it. Stupid.

Maybe the media has convinced you otherwise. But this is what we conservatives are up against. Talk to immigrants from India, Vietnam, Colombia, Mexico, Teh Philippines, Korea, China etc. There are many, many conservatives among them. They just need to be approached and convinced that conservatives are not the enemy. They don’t buy into the woke stuff. Many are religious. They want to work. They want to keep their money. They want their kids to get proper education. They want opportunities. The voters are there. They need to be cultivated. They need to be weaned off the constant barrage of negative news about conservative politics. It can be done.

Not necessarily. The GOP needs to continue targeting immigrants. Latinos and many Asians for example are hard working people that want to do well and don’t like free loaders. They are there for the picking if the Republicans can combat the negative messaging about them from the Dems and the media.

Maybe I’m just old fashioned, or just old, but why the fuck does everyone seem to be apologizing for everything these days? They clearly did things they felt were right at the time. So why apologize years later? What has gotten into people? Does no one stand firm anymore?
