Order it online and then pick it up. I'm sure Canadian Tire or similar stores offer curbside pick up.

Well, it's not like Canada will deport them. They line up voluntarily to get registered to get all the gibs from the government.

How the fuck am I supposed to burn the gas in my car before it goes bad if I'm supposed to stay home legally?

Sta-bil fuel stabilizer. It's like 15 bucks for a liter.

Airports are controlled by the feds. He can only beg Trudope to close them.

Last seen falling off his horse on the road to Green Damascus, Erin O’Toole is thought by many to be the leader of a party known as Conservative.

After being kindly helped back on the animal by Elizabeth May and Catherine McKenna, both of whom happened to be in the area, Mr. O’Toole declared he will put a levy on all Canadians purchasing such carbon-based fuels as gasoline or diesel.

Good one.

Are you excited to vote for Ford in the next election?

Wtf are these polls?

Should schools be closed due to the pandemic? -> No.

Should indoor yoga be allowed? -> No.

Makes no sense.

There won't be any big jump in combustion engine tech. You can see that in Europe. They tried it again and again. Most of their cars are now turbocharged three or four cylinders. And even these won't meet the new regulations. Electrification is the only way to lower carbon emissions in cars.

Hey, if the carbon tax is gone from my electricity bill while I pay the same amount as before, it's all good.

A summer where nobody cares about the rules.

Austin is already as Liberal as San Francisco. Over 70% voted for Biden in that city.

Also, Obama lost by 16 points against Romney. Clinton lost by 9 points against Trump. Biden lost by 5.5 points to Trump in Texas. And they have strict voter ID, no Dominion machines, limited mail in voting and so on. Give it another two election and Texas will be blue, especially since a ton of Silicon Valley companies are moving to Texas.

They will move to Texas though and turn it into California 2.0.

I wonder how they are going to track fuel purchases. What if I pay in cash? Do I need to show my ID to get the carbon tax back?

6
RightOfSask 6 points ago +6 / -0

The current carbon tax goes back to the provinces. I got almost $1200 back last year. Directly into my bank account. I could spend it on what I want.

With O'Toole's plan I would get far less and would be limited to green purchases, while probably paying the same amount for electricity (which is produced to 90% through fossil fuels in Sask) as today.

Liberals already voted for this in 2018 through a motion, but Trudeau blocked it.

At $20 per tonne

It starts at §20 per tonne in O'Foole's plan and will be increased to $50 per tonne. And that is only for the fuel charge, speak the private citizen. Commercial and industrial emitters won't be charged at that rate. Probably higher, can't find anything on that.

The revenue of the fuel charge goes into a savings account. The revenue of the "carbon pricing" on large emitters goes nowhere? And then people have to spend the money in the savings account for "green purchases"? Trudope's plan makes more sense than this bullshit.

Saskatchewan is now taxing EVs. No joke.
