No factor predicts medical expenditure as closely as age. One third of lifetime medical costs accrue when over 85. The elderly should be taxed more heavily to access medical resources, as they are disproportionately responsible for causing those costs. Plus it's easy to calculate with just Date of Birth, no additional data required.
Also, women consume more than a third more healthcare services over their lifetimes than men do. They should be taxed for being female.
and Indigenous peoples.
Well there's your first hurdle. The US will have little patience with the native strategy of land claiming the entire country out from under us year by year.
Next problem, a 51st state with Canada's population would add 53 electoral votes and 2 US Senators which would effectively swing the executive and legislative branches permanently for the Democrats so we would end up trapped in a union in terminal decline as progressively leftist policies bankrupt both our countries in what would become a single-party system. The Republicans in the senate can read those tea leaves as easily as I and would never approve such a suicide pact.
Next: Canadians are only marginally more attached to our shitty healthcare system than the British are to the NHS and joining the US would kill it unless it morphed into a state-run program like Massachusettes has so Canada would still have some of the highest taxes in the union. I guess the upshot there is that healthy people could flee to Florida or somewhere.

It was a federal stat holiday. Who among us didn't take leave on Friday and get out of Ottawa for a long weekend? Far be it for me to tell other people how to celebrate Truth&Reconciliation Day, but I believe the tradition is a family barbecue.
Modern agriscience has increased the calories/acre we can sustainably produce, and moder machinery has reduced the percentage of the population working in agriculture to single digit, which largely resolves the lebensraum issue.
You can buy some fireworks and meat and invite people over for a barbecue if you want to. Look to the government to secure the borders, enforce the law, provide impartial courts to litigate civil matters, and if you want to go really crazy, you can demand they do road maintenance. Why are you looking to the government to determine if and when you should have a party? That's so far outside the remit of what a government is for, the rats that were trained to stand on the electrified grill without trying to escape think you've been brainwashed.
The NSDAP was Catholic, the USSR was atheistic from the middle down but Jewish at the top. The CCP is the truly atheistic engine of genocide, but I'm not sure what atheism supplanted in China. Confucianism presumably? I don't think that was the God which Nietzshe was referencing.
The way to make this mandatory is for the chief of the defence staff to say "this is mandatory". He can do so at his discretion but has chosen not too. My guess is because doing so would make the military liable for any injuries caused by the vaccine down the line.
That's not true. Not being vaccinated may preclude certain out-of-Canada postings, and vaccination may be made mandatory for certain deployments, but there is no mechanism for docking pay or adding reprimands to pers files over vaccinations.
The vaccine isn't mandatory for CAF personnel, but the information briefing about the vaccine is mandatory. At the end of the briefing, to close the training, you are presented with a choice of two buttons: "I want to book an appointment" or "I want someone to contact me". If you choose book an appointment, you can exit out of the scheduling app without making an appointment, but it still counts as "this guy got in line" whether or not you actually get the shot. I don't know precisely how many people went this route, but it's greater than zero.
