You missed the point. The current moderation policy is:

PPC Supporter == Racist == Banned.

The issue at hand was never racism; it was calling people racists as a pretext to ban vote splitters, and the "racists" aren't the bad guys here.

If the user base is overwhelmingly PPC, why can't we have moderators who respect our preferences? Viva democracy and all that.

The Canadian government hasn't been dependent on taxation since 10 April, 1933, when an Order-in-Council officially suspended the redemption of Dominion notes for gold. Once a government de-couples itself from reality via fiat currency, it can pay all domestic bills via money printing. Taxation is no longer about raising funds or balancing budgets, but about social engineering. Which peoples and behaviours should be penalized and which subsidized? Taxation is about helping friends and harming enemies.

a cover for military activity

Military's been sitting around in "Work From Home" posture for 14 months now.

What's happening is the end of the dollar. All the fiats are going to zero.

That's the real danger. The justice system works because everyone agrees to set aside vigilantism and inter-clan feuding, which are the normal state of affairs, and allow an impartial justice system handle retribution. If the justice system stops upholding its side of the bargain, citizens will stop upholding theirs.

Legs go stiff maybe? I assume she didn't know she was an epileptic; otherwise how did she hold a drivers license at all?

I make a low six-figure salary. I don't work particularly hard, especially during the last year of work-from-home nonsense. I could pursue some "side hustle" to make more money, I've got the time and energy. Why bother though? For every additional dollar I make almost half of it gets stolen. Why take risks and employ other people when the marginal utility to the risk-taker is beaten down so badly. I'll just micromanage my TFSA, extract as much money as I can from the market, and keep 100% of the winnings, thanks.

Dominion Voting Systems notwithstanding, what option do we have? Are the NDP going to be a less tyrannical option under the circumstances?

Yeah, that Orville Redenbacher-looking lesbian was a very enthusiastic ejection from office after the way the Liberals managed the power grid.

How do you sell mortgage forgiveness but also you forfeit ownership of your house?

no one would have quibbled about getting an Ebola vaccine if it was running rampant during flu season

Only way Ebola runs rampant in a hospital is if no one is mopping up blood and vomit and everyone stops wearing gloves.

Remember when Doctor Tam advised people not to wear masks because she was worried about peasants buying up masks needed by valuable people and then when cut up T-shirt masks became a thing it was vitally important that everyone have one but the real N95 masks were still reserved for valuable people?

Best of luck with that. The weight classes in every pugilistic sport are totally inconsequential.

I think it's criminally irresponsible to encourage women to get into martial arts and start thinking they can beat up grown men like Black Widow. If the 110lb trained woman throws a punch at the 220lb random black guy, she's just getting herself into trouble.

We bind the child's hands and feet and toss them in this pond. If the child floats, he has COVID. If he sinks, he is healthy.

Who decides who Canadians are if you would divorce us from our British heritage?

1
elodrian 1 point ago +2 / -1

I understand why the Indians or the French would have that sentiment, but we were never conquered by the British. We are the British. Like England, Scotland, and Wales, Canada is a part of the British empire. One people, one empire, one monarch.

Politics aside, we're driving into debt harder and faster than ever before in the history of our nation. How was foreign charity not the first line item in the budget to get the axe.

Oh right. Nevermind.

Conservatives have no power to slam meaningfully at present. It's actually the NDP who could be wagging the dog right now. They are needed to make up the majority in parliament.

You have the maximum amount of people trying their hardest to get as much as possible while giving as little as they can.

So long as our country remains a multi-national patchwork, we need to adopt this mentality or get exploited. I think there's a strong argument to be made that the married homemaker who produces four kids can be more economically valuable to her family and household by in-sourcing the childcare while making it her profession to exploit every government gibsmedat program than if she had got a job outside the household while out-sourcing childcare.

My grandparents retired in their early to mid 60's. They're currently 97. Since post-secondary education is becoming the norm, we are moving towards a society where a newly minted citizen is an economic drain on society until 18, produces nothing from 19 to 23 while going into debt, spends 24 to 34 paying off student loans, then then we have 34 to 65 in which he builds equity, raises kids, saves for retirement. 31 productive years during which the government takes 35% of everything you produce. Then he retires at 65 and spends the next 32 years existing. People are retired for longer than they were productively working. I understand that usury and speculation can fund this lifestyle, but that is ultimately a shell game. For a retiree to eat without producing, someone else must produce without eating.

We are going to reach a point where all these factors become obviously unsustainable and I suspect that birth rates will factor heavily in that conversation.
