How many of them voted Liberal last election? Get what you deserve. Unfortunately, the innocent are suffering for the guilty in this case.

Playing devil's advocate here : it is a sign that there is a problem not being addressed. Most world governments are doing nothing about the astronomical costs of housing, and the younger generations want a future to look forward to as well. Ignoring the problem is only going to lead to this (and worse).

I have a nephew fresh out of school in his first junior dev position, he makes less than 40k a year. By the time taxes were taken out, he barely makes more than what he made prior to going to getting his degree.

Canadian STEM is a meme and the garbage money is why all of the best and brightest go to the US as soon as they can.

Someone tell this soy to take a trip over to South Africa or Haiti and let him get back to us on who is "hiring" them.

Yeah, the fate of Eastern Europe is a major issue (now and probably in the future as well). I can potentially see something similar to how it was in WWII where the West and Soviets worked together because they had, not because they really wanted to. I guess we will see over the next couple of decades.

Exactly, but do you think that they are going to accept being a second rate power as basically a vassal state of the Chinese? Not with the current leadership, and highly unlikely with any future ones tbh. Nationalism is still too strong there.

I think that at some point, the West and Russia will have to put their current differences aside and work together in order to contain the Chinese threat. As you said, China is rising as a superpower, with Russia relegated to being a regional one, which means that they will have a common enemy with the West. I think that the historical perception of Russia as a superpower means that they aren't going to accept playing junior partner in a coalition with the Chinese, they would rather fight as equals with the West.

Don't fall for the SCO meme. China and Russia will be destroying each other in another 50 years at this rate because of Xi's expansionist ambitions. Very well possible that Russia could end up partnering with NATO to hold off Chinese expansion at some point in the future, there is not enough room for them both in Asia.

It is even worse back home for them.

I wish that I had enough work where I could hire every White man willing to escape "diversity" lol.

This is why you just start your own company and hire your own.

You know, closing down the asylums was one of the worst decisions that we ever made.

Lol. Trudeau must be so happy that all he has to do is exist to win an election right now. Probably doesn't even have to campaign at this rate tbh.

Newfies are honestly very nice people (like most Maritimers in general), but their politics is just retarded to say the least. Amazes me how they continue to vote Liberal/NDP when so much of their economy is supported from the oil industry. There have been recent closures and it just baffles me that people will vote themselves out of work.

People actually have them on while alone in their cars with the windows up. It is amazing how many naive and gullible people exist.

That was more of anomaly than a sign of how the region is trends as a whole. Tbh, it baffles me that Newfies continue to vote Liberal when they are killing their oil industry completely off.

To be honest, the Tories haven't been influential in the Maritimes for quite a while anyways. I lived out there for a bit and many people spend half of the year on EI when winter kicks in, they will never vote for people that they are scared will cut their benefits (even if many do hold conservative values). Voting PC provincially and Liberals federally is a common thing out there.

Ahh yes, people full of both testosterone and estrogen are certainly mentally stable lol. Aggression and emotionality are a wonderful cocktail.
